NAFDAC Scanner

Use MedSafe's NAFDAC scanner to verify drug authenticity and access product information quickly.

Scanning Methods

Barcode Scanning

Use your device's camera to scan product barcodes:

1. Navigate to Tools → NAFDAC Scanner
2. Allow camera access when prompted
3. Point camera at the barcode
4. Wait for automatic recognition
5. View product information and verification status

Manual NAFDAC Number Entry

Enter NAFDAC registration numbers manually:

1. Select "Manual Entry" in the scanner
2. Type the NAFDAC number (e.g., A4-1234)
3. Tap "Verify" to check registration status

Verification Results

The scanner provides comprehensive verification information:

• Registration Status: Valid, Expired, or Invalid
• Product Details: Name, manufacturer, strength
• Expiry Information: Registration expiry date
• Batch Information: If available in the database
• Recall Status: Any active recalls for the product

Reporting Counterfeits

If you suspect a counterfeit product:

1. Use the "Report Counterfeit" button in scan results
2. Provide detailed information about the product
3. Upload photos if possible
4. Submit the report to NAFDAC and MedSafe
