Add up to 10 drugs and understand severity results

Drug Interaction Checker

The interaction checker helps identify potentially dangerous drug combinations before prescribing.

How to Use the Interaction Checker

  1. Navigate to Tools → Interaction Checker
  2. Search and add the first drug
  3. Continue adding drugs (up to 10 maximum)
  4. Click "Check Interactions" to analyze
  5. Review results organized by severity level

Understanding Severity Levels

Contraindicated

Avoid this combination. The risk of adverse effects outweighs any potential benefit.

Major

Significant interaction that may require dose adjustment, additional monitoring, or alternative therapy.

Moderate

Monitor for increased effects or side effects. May require dose adjustment.

Minor

Minimal clinical significance. Usually no action required.

Reading Interaction Results

Each interaction result includes:

  • Drug pair involved
  • Severity level and color coding
  • Mechanism of interaction
  • Clinical effects to monitor
  • Management recommendations

Always consider patient-specific factors (age, kidney function, other conditions) when evaluating interactions.

Exporting Results

Professional users can:

  • Export interaction reports as PDF
  • Share results via WhatsApp
  • Save interaction checks to history
