Managing Your Subscription

Learn how to upgrade, downgrade, manage billing, and handle subscription-related issues.

Upgrading Your Plan

  1. Go to Settings → Billing
  2. Click "Upgrade Plan"
  3. Select your desired tier (Professional, Student, Institutional)
  4. Choose monthly or annual billing
  5. Complete payment via Paystack
  6. Access new features immediately

Downgrading Your Plan

Downgrade at any time:

  1. Navigate to Settings → Billing
  2. Click "Change Plan"
  3. Select a lower tier or Free plan
  4. Confirm the change
  5. Changes take effect at the next billing cycle

When downgrading, you'll retain access to premium features until your current billing period ends.

Payment Methods

MedSafe accepts payments via Paystack:

  • Nigerian debit/credit cards (Verve, Mastercard, Visa)
  • Bank transfers
  • USSD payments
  • Mobile money (where available)

Viewing Invoices

Access your billing history:

  1. Go to Settings → Billing
  2. Click "Invoice History"
  3. View or download PDF receipts
  4. Export for expense reporting

Common Paystack Issues

Payment Declined

  • Verify card details are correct
  • Ensure sufficient funds are available
  • Check if international transactions are enabled
  • Try a different payment method
  • Contact your bank if issues persist

Duplicate Charges

  • Check if payment was actually processed twice
  • Contact MedSafe support with transaction details
  • Provide Paystack reference numbers
  • Refunds typically process within 3-5 business days

Subscription Cancellation

Cancel your subscription anytime:

  1. Go to Settings → Billing
  2. Click "Cancel Subscription"
  3. Confirm cancellation
  4. Access continues until period end
  5. Account reverts to Free tier

Reactivating Cancelled Subscriptions

Reactivate easily:

  • Previous subscription preferences are saved
  • No data loss during cancellation period
  • Immediate access upon reactivation

Institutional subscriptions require contacting sales for changes. Individual users can manage subscriptions self-service.
